Very low in starch, formulated for horses that are prone to tying-up.
One of the major metabolic problems affecting performance horses is equine rhabdomyolysis syndrome (ERS). This syndrome encompasses all the various terms including tying up and azoturia and some also include the genetic disorder polysaccharide storage myopathy (PSSM) in this syndrome.
ERS Pellets is a performance ration that has been formulated to provide nutritional support of the muscular system and therefore is ideal for competition horses which are prone to muscular related disorders.
For horses where starch (cereal) based rations are not suitable, ERS Pellets have been designed to provide high levels of energy from digestible fibre and oil and have a very low starch level of less than 7%.
Elevated levels of antioxidant minerals and vitamins are included, together with bio-available calcium (gluconate) and other electrolytes to help maintain optimum muscle function.
