Starter Milk is an easy to mix milk substitute for orphan puppies or where the mother is unable to provide enough milk for her litter.
Formulated with increased levels of vitamins, including vitamin E which is known to help support the puppy's immune system, Starter Milk provides all the essential nutrients for this vital stage of life. Contains high levels of fat and protein, which are similar to bitch milk, Starter Milk also contains fat in a form (emulsified) that improves uptake and utilisation ensuring a good source of energy which establishes fit and healthy puppies.
Controlled levels of iron minimise the establishment of potentially harmful bacteria in the puppy.
Preparing the milk is easy; simply mix at a rate of 20g of powder with 100ml of warm water, which should be fed at blood temperature of 37 C. Orphan puppies or in situations where the mother unable to provide any milk then puppies should be fed between 4 and 6 times per day, this would need to be reduced for bitches that are providing some milk.
